Thoran is a famous south indian dish. It is made with a whole lot of veggies, hmm i would say you can make thoran with almost all veggies. You can check all my thoran dish here.
This one i made it a little differently and use raw banana, it looked really beautiful plus it is healthy as well..You can check out my other thoran recipes..

Preparation Time : 10 mins Cooking Time : 20 mins Serves: 4 Ingredients: Raw Banana - 2 medium size peeled and cubed Salt to taste Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp Water to cook banana For Grinding: Coconut - 1/2 cup Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp Turmeric Powder - 1/2tsp Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp Garlic - 1 peeled For Seasoning: Oil - 2 tblspn Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp Urad dal - 1 tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1/2 tsp Dry Red Chilli - 1 Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi - 1 pinch Curry leaves - 1 sprig Method: Take cubed banana in a pan, add in salt, turmeric powder and water and cook this for 5 to 6 mins till it is tender. Drain and set aside. Take all grinding ingredients in a blender and make it into a rough puree, don’t add any water to this. Now heat oil in a kadai, add seasoning ingredients and saute for a min. Add in raw banana and toss that in the oil, add in the coconut mix and stir fry for few mins. Now serve.

slice into long pieces
cube them
take it in a pan and cover with water
add little turmeric powder
add some salt as well
cook till it is tender
drain them
now take coconut in a blender
add turmeric powder
add cumin seeds
add some chilli powder
add a garlic
dont add any water, make it into a rough coarse mix
heat oil in a kadai, add the seasoning ingredients
let them sizzle
add the raw banana
Toss well
now it has got little colour
add coconut mix
add in salt
Toss well
now it is done
Serve
